Macon, GA- May 1, 2018– Central Georgia Heart Center, one of Central Georgia’s longest-standing cardiology and electrophysiology practices, is pleased to announce the HEART CARD program. Central Georgia Heart Center is now providing free wallet cards for public distribution. This program was created to provide patients with the peace of mind they need in the face of a cardiac emergency. The HEART CARD program is completely free and created with community service in mind.
John Evans, CEO of Central Georgia Heart Center stated, “This is an outreach program from the Central Georgia Heart Center providers aimed at saving lives. Rather than let our patients leave treatment decisions to the emergency room and other hospital protocol, we want to provide family members a way to ensure urgent care by the cardiologists they know and trust. All the cards are completely free and will be offered to all CGHC patients, as well as the general public.”
Dr. Zoe Jones, Dr. Wendell Ellis and all the cardiologists at the practice are excited about the opportunity to serve the greater central Georgia community. The CDC states that 1 in 4 deaths are linked to heart disease and often times knowing a patient’s medical history can mean life or death. The HEART CARD program is a simple way to communicate pre-existing conditions to family members, EMTs, other emergency responders, and hospitals.
For anyone interested in obtaining a HEART CARD from Central Georgia Heart Center, please inquire within any of the practice offices. We plan to distribute over 100,000 heart cards to Central Georgia residents. There are convenient locations in Macon, Warner Robins, Milledgeville, Montezuma, Dublin, Thomaston, Forsyth, Hawkinsville, and at the Central Georgia Vein Center.
