Electrophysiology

Hello, my name is Jonathan Brock. I am originally from Thomasville, GA. I attended Valdosta State University for my undergraduate studies, where I majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. I then attended medical school at Mercer University in Macon. While in medical school, I rotated with Dr. Oddis and Dr. Hoffman, and this is when I first became interested in heart rhythm disorders. This is also where I met my wife, Katina, a Macon native, who was an undergraduate at Mercer at the time.

I then moved to Winston-Salem, NC, where I completed my Internal Medicine residency, Cardiology fellowship, and Electrophysiology fellowship. There, I was also able to participate in multiple research projects exploring various aspects of Electrophysiology, including optimal placement of leadless pacemakers and evaluating outcomes in patients undergoing ablation.

While we were in North Carolina, we had our two boys, James (2) and John (9 months). We also have a 9-year-old beagle named Zoey. After completing my Electrophysiology fellowship, we moved back to Macon to be closer to family. When I am not working, I enjoy cooking and spending time outdoors with my family and dog. I am excited to join Central Georgia Heart and help take care of patients in middle Georgia.
