Central Georgia Heart and Vein Center is taking all precautions in order to protect our patients as well as our staff. Along with general precautions, extra handwashing and sanitizing, there are some changes that we will be implementing at our offices as well.
CGHVC is dedicated to your heart health, however it is necessary to practice social distancing as recommended by the CDC.
We are limiting office schedules. Patient appointment will be screened prior to their appointment and will also be screened once they arrive to the office. We will have a staff member stationed outside the office to check temperatures and screen for symptoms before being allowed to check in. Office staff will also be screened for fever and symptoms twice a day.
Patient guest guidelines have changed. Patients should come to their appointment alone (if able). We understand some patients need assistance for their appointments, and in those cases, should bring only one adult with them as necessary. Children should not come to appointments and will not be allowed to enter the office. This is for both their safety and the safety of our patients.
Exam rooms are sanitized after each patient visit. Providers will be wearing masks as deemed appropriate.
We will be offering appointments via telehealth so that your appointment may be completed via phone or video chat. This is essential to limiting face-to-face contact and is an excellent way to receive care without compromising your risk of transmission.
If you are running a fever, coughing, or not feeling well, please RESCHEDULE your appointment and contact your primary care doctor. If you are not sure if you should come to your appointment, please call first before you come and speak with one of our triage staff members. 478-741-1208.
